I have heard the refrain, support the troops, so many times that I finally reached a point where I decided to find a way to do something myself. I dont have friends or family serving in Iraq, but I do care about whats going on there. And so I looked around the net trying to find a way that I could participate too. I found that one way is to sponsor military families with a tool that lets them communicate across the internet. I used http://www.websitesforheroes.com to sponsor a family, and now I feel like I actually did something positive for the troops. And given the fact that most of these enlisted folks can barely afford to live on military pay, this gift makes a lot of sense.
