I hate the OKAPS! And some days I hate medicine in general! Russ has been a beast recently. He's been wholly unhelpful around the house....yeah he mowed the lawn this weekend but that's only because it was so long that the dogs wouldn't walk on it so they were shitting on the porch. And yeah he helped hold Daegan down so I could change him this weekend (BAD diaper rash)....but did he do anything else??? Oh yeah....he played a video game....that he needs me to "leave the browser window open because there is no save." UGH! And I would close it to be mean, but really it'll just mean he'll ignore us to play it until he gets back to that point and bitch and moan the entire time.

I start work next week....I WILL need help. I cannot do it all myself. And he says "Not until after the OKAPS." UM WHAT THE FUCK? So I can't shower until after the f'n OKAPS? They don't even matter that much!!!!! Yes I know he needs a decent score for fellowship, but as we all know WHO you know matters more than WHAT. And he's the fuckin golden boy of the program. They love him. He will have great recommendations and he thinks he wants to just follow along and go to Dallas like everyone else doing Cornea does. He could almost fail the OKAPS and still do that. UGH!

I'm soo frustrated right now. I've been doing double time because of all the puking and diarrhea. I'm also doing a lot of prep to make the transition to working easier....he has been making everything harder.

I know he's stressed but come on. You've been through how many freakin' tests in your life? And he has to take the damn OKAP next year and the year after and....it's the same f'in test. Not a pre-lim or anything. You took it last year too!!!! UGH!

I'm ready to go back to work. I feel guilty sometimes....that second child really gets it different....and I've heard the third and ones after also get the shaft even more so. And Kai is so low maintenance that he lets me neglect him. Actually because he is so easy going I think his transition to the sitter is going to be easier than Daegan's was...though Daegan has really taken to Wendy (home care sitter). He looks forward to going to her house to "play with his friends." And he's good and structured there.

Work is going to be interesting. We have a new vet and a few new staff. I'm getting a new tech. I loved my old tech....(who was actually only with me for a few weeks)....she was great, but she was moved to the young owner....which is a good move for him. She's getting frustrated but I think she's the only one who can handle him. It means I will have to train a new girl.

The new vet has tried to take a couple of the other vets cases....if she tries that shit with me, they'll be words. I know I'm only part time, but if it's my surgery, it's MY surgery.

OK, I better get back to Daeagan. I'm going to try to update more since the blog link is on the same page as the forums now. I think I'm digging the new site....some of the board quirks are irksome, but I think I'll get used to it soon.
