Man do I hear you. We are having a crisis in our local soccer scene. DS qualifies for select soccer but none of us feels we are ready to commit to that level of play. But a couple of weeks ago there wasn't a rec coach for his age group. Finally someone stepped up but they are going to end up with barely four practices before the first game. They keep canceling for weather and other excuses. Thing is, it is all character building. And if I can't commit to coaching myself, I find it hard to complain.
It is lame but I do think it is all a learning experience. I just hope C doesn't get discouraged! Thinking of you!
