Well I had the "chat" about the job and I didn't get it. Basically there is an internal candidate that has some specific skills they need immediately. There are at least three of these positions in the department and one of them is currently looking for an internal transfer, so she basically told me his job is mine but he has to find another one first and until he does they can't post for his position. She's hoping it is "relatively soon" but has no idea when that might be. I really wanted to be out of my job before November so that my current team would have time to find someone before the holidays. One of the reasons I couldn't pull the trigger last November was because of the guilt I felt leaving my team mid-holiday.

So for now I continue to "work" at a job that bores me, doesn't keep my interest, and doesn't even keep me busy. Today I think I "worked" for a total of 2-3 hours, I surfed the net, was on here, and twiddled my thumbs for the other 5-6.
