DH and I had a great weekend last weekend. Saturday we got our house put back together, we LOVE the new carpet! Sunday we went to a nearby state forest and went hiking, we took Molly and had a great time though I think we were both exhausted by the time we got home. Of course that didn't stop us from continuing with our Monday plans - golf! We played at the course near our house, I actually played pretty decently of course I only played the front 9. DH broke 90, which he has done before but never in my presence, he's so much more fun to play with when he's not cussing and throwing clubs.

MIL called Wednesday to confirm dates for CA so that she could make hotel reservations. I told DH to find out where we're staying so that we can try to start budgeting for this trip. So we must be staying somewhere expensive b/c she told DH not to worry about it and that they were going to pick up our hotel rooms, we only need pay for our flights and a rental car - which is nice since we're pinching pennies but it would be nice to know where we're going. Then we find out DH's grandmother isn't even coming, nor is one of his uncles and his family. The whole point of this trip was to get that side of the family together, including DH's grandmother who we haven't seen in over 2 years. So now its DH's dad, his kids and his brother's family. So it went from being 14 people to 8 - ugg! I will probably "ruin" the trip for dear MIL anyway, I always do. Can you tell I'm really excited about this?

The only good thing that will come of it is that we get to spend the weekend in Palo Alto and catch up with old med school friends.

So DH is working this weekend so I think it will be a nice relaxing weekend and then we're both off Monday - yay!
