Well I've finally had time to catch up - you guys have been chatty the last few days. We are all doing extremely well. Adele has not had a bottle for 36 hours now and she hasn't had formula for about 3-4 days. She had a doctor's appointment this morning and is up to 9lbs 3 ozs. She is wearing her new BumGenius diapers and while they're a little bulky its so nice to not be going through disposables like crazy. The breastfeeding is going very well, I'm so excited that she is feeding well. My only question right now is why she seems to be leaking after eating for ~10 minutes on each side. I can't tell if she's not latched properly, if I'm expressing to much milk and its just running out or what is going on but she's growing, peeing, stooling, and doing very well so I won't worry about it, I guess. We toured the YMCA today and plan to join tomorrow while they are still having no joining fee. We ran into two friends while we were there so I look forward to Adele getting to 6 weeks so that she can go into the Kids Care. In the mean time DH will have to watch her so that I can work out, hopefully I'll get over there at least 2-3 times/week to start. They really do have a nice facility and its not the best athletic place in town but its much more reasonable price wise. Tomorrow I'm going to my first MOPS meeting, it will be nice to get out and have a group of moms that I can socialize with. Wednesday there is a class for 1st time moms that I'm also going to attend, more for the chance to meet 1st time moms then the information so we'll see how it goes. They're saying it will be bitter cold here by the end of the week, hopefully next weekend (the 26th) the weather holds as everyone is coming in for Adele's baptism. My sister is flying in from Houston, BIL is flying in from San Diego and everyone else if driving up from KS. It will be nice to have everyone here, hopefully there is no fighting over holding the baby. Well Miss Adele needs to be fed so I better go, I've been bugged by the grandparents for new pictures so we'll try to take some new ones later. Her professional ones should be posted soon too. Here is Brandi's blog entry about her visit to us: http://photographybybrandi.typepad.c...html#trackback Too funny!
