Re: The rest is still unwritten...

Holy Cow!! I can't believe that my daughters and my DH other daughter come from the same gene pool. Thank goodness her mother is the psycho one and not me. The big suprise of the week? Step daughter is keeping the baby, who is still in NICU and weighs about 3 1/2 lbs. No apparent problems besides low birth weight. This baby is actually bigger than her other 2 were. And guess what she names her? KYLEIGH! Wow that sounds a little familiar, since her own 1/2 sister, my daughter is named RYLEIGH! I think she did it just to piss me off.

This is how braindead this girl really is. She was released from the hospital today without the baby. She has no car and her apartment is 50 miles away. When asked what she was going to do, she responded that she was going to sell her postop prescriptions to her heroine friends to get money for a hotel. WTF??!! When DH informed her that she was on her own and he wasn't giving her another dime, she just ignored him and then proceeded to ask him to buy her a number of things. She just doesn't get it.

The only highlight of the week has been my weigh-in for WW. In the one week since I started I have lost 6 lbs. WooHoo! Only 54 more to go.

Well this has turned out to be a very busy week. It looks like we will be heading to Florida by the end of the year and even have found a house. I get to fly down next week for the final approval, but from what I have seen online, we have a winner. For anyone interested you can see the virtual tour at

      http://www.tourfactory.com/441513

On to not so great news, youngest DD Ryleigh had her eye doctor appt today and now they are concerned about some clumps of pigment changes on her retina. Now she has to see a retinal specialist. Tomorrow we are back to another eye doc to work out her new contact prescription and fitting which is always so much fun. I wish there was some surgical way to fix all this. When she was told she would have to patch longer each day it nearly broke her spirit. Her only relief will be at school when she will be without a patch. I am trying not to freak out about the retinal problem and trying to keep away from looking up the possibilities at online medical sites.

Re: The rest is still unwritten...

This has been an emotionally exhausting weekend. We have been battling whether to take the job in Florida or stay here. I want to go so badly, and get the heck out of Ohio. DH worries about starting with a new company and them holding up the end of the deals they are making with him. They are looking to move the current director up or out within 6 months, but what happens if that falls through? He would end up leaving a group where he is a partner and board member and getting a very lucrative bonus to just being a staff physician under independent contractor status. Is the change in lifestyle worth it? Is my and the girl's happiness worth it? They are not happy here, there are no opportunities near us. What if we get down there and it is just as bad or worse?

I am supposed to fly down on Friday to check out our dream home. I am so excited but fear I will fall in love with the house and be crushed if we decide to stay here. I told DH that I really need him to make some kind of decision before I go down. I personally feel like I will truly go crazy staying here. The lexapro isn't working anymore for my mood. I really need a change.

          Holding my breath....

Ok, went down to Florida Friday to se "the house". Of course it is as wonderful as I imagine. It is on the PGA golf course in Port Saint Lucie. You can watch right from your back yard. I couldn't care less about golf. The community is so protected that there are guards at the gate 24/7 and regular patrol. Not that it is a dangerous community, far from it. I myself believe it is overkill, but whatever. We put in an offer which I expect will be rejected. We find out by Thursday. The house has actually sat there for 3 years so I don't think the sellers from NY are in much of a hurry.

The problem with it all is that even if we get the house, DH is not sure that he wants the job. WTF? I am ready to move but he thinks we could give it a year or so before we leave here and just have it as a second home. I don't think so. I think I would pack up the girls and get the heck out of dodge while he plays the waiting game here in Ohio. Not like the girls would even notice daddy not being around.

So with fingers kinda crossed and breath kinda held, I wait til Thursday.

This has been the suckiest last couple of days. We were all set to go through with the house deal and our banker calls to inform us that now in Florida they will not loan you a mortgage without 20% down. We were fine with that until we found out that his 401K will only let him borrow 50K. Not enough. So I kiss the house of my dreams goodbye. Then DH is having second thoughts about moving down to Fl. and taking a new job. Says he has it too cushy here, nevermind that I am suffocating and dying in Ohio. The girls are crushed.

To top it off yesterday was my birthday and I got to spend 5 hours at the BMV trying to renew my DL which they stated was invalid due to a mistake they made 2 years ago but could not fix in the system Of course this could only happen 2 days before we travel to Hawaii. Thank goodness I have my passport or those pesky TSA agents would not let me fly with an expired DL.

We leave for Hawaii tomorrow. I hope that DH and I don't kill each other as I am very upset at his new change of heart regarding moving. Knowing him he will see Hawaii and decide he wants to move there-not gonna happen. I just want to leave Ohio and be normal. I don't care how much money he loses by leaving his current job.

            ALOHA!
