It's so interesting to read everyone's traditions.

On Christmas Eve, my family always gets together and has mainly heavy hors d'oeuvres (finger sandwiches, spinach dip, cheeseball, potato salad, etc. plus desserts!) and opens presents from each other. On Christmas morning, after all of the kids get their "Santa Claus" in their respective homes (I have a brother and a sister, both with kids), they all get back together around lunchtime at my mom's house for Christmas dinner. Since I'm not going to my hometown for Christmas this year, everyone is going to have their Christmas Eve party there and then they are driving down here Christmas morning.

Mmmmm....the meatballs and lefse sound wonderful! My hubby would love it!

Oh yeah, about the turkey, my sister is paranoid about stuffing the turkey because she says it increases the risk of salmonella poisoning, since there's less of a chance of the turkey getting heated properly all the way through. She always tells me she's more comfortable not stuffing the turkey.

I like your idea of quiche for breakfast, Lynn! I think I'll do that this year. Especially since you likely have a later breakfast on Christmas Day and an ealier supper (around 4:30 we usually have ours). Then people can just snack and get what they want throughout the day.

Thanks for the idea! Don't get stressed out. The great thing about having grown adult children is that they are supposed to help you! Take advantage of that fact!

Hi Janet.....the good thing about making the Quiches from scratch is that you can chop and slice all the cheese and stuff the nite before and just pop it in the frig.Xmas morning just add all the eggs and milk to everything and bake it fresh so they can smell it when they walk in the door!As to grown kids...thats another post!LOL...lemme go post it now!
