Anyway, here's what I'm hoping for.

I HOPE they...
are open-minded about people's sexual and religious choices.
are athletic (cheerleading counts!) and enjoy sports.
are pretty/handsome and have great style.
know how to choose a wine.
choose a lucrative career that they ENJOY.
excel academically.
love to read (not chick lit either, I hate that crap. Sorry.)
speak more than one language.
play an instrument.
volunteer or contribute to a good cause in the world.
have lots of pets.
enjoy music.
and, of course, are great cooks.

I will be upset if they...
become the crazy-type evangelicals.
hate animals.
hate food. (The horror! I'm with Heidi on this one!)
don't care about their appearance.
like Nascar or huntin'.
vote for Hillary.
