Well, the people on the frua (http://www.frua.org) site often talk about how difficult these kids are to train- but good lord, they only had him for 13 months! why couldn't he remember something useful like how they make pelemeni (these AWESOME meat filled ravioli things I've been craving ever since)

OK- obviously the only answer here is more wine.

I don't know how you non-drinkers get through this potty-training stuff. It was all I could do to not pull into the local watering hole on my way home from picking him up.

Oh, yeah- he had poop in his pants, I couldn't.

I'm pretty sure you can take a kid with poop in his pants into the liquor store to buy more wine. Sending him in with a list and momma's credit card / ID is where you cross the line.

            OMG-

So, I was drinking my ginormous glass of wine and making our CPK pizza for dinner and Nikolai said, "I'm going to go poop on the potty." and me being the mature parent said, "sure you are."

And then, he came to get me and lo and behold! There it was. In The Potty. I swear I have never been so happy to see someone else's poop in my life.

I've been dancing and singing and celebrating and high fiving all night. Man, I hope this lasts.

I still have a month left of deployment- the liver is going to just have to hang tough until I catch a break!

And this is what it has come to. I'll say it again: If I knew at 20 what would thrill me at 40, I'd have killed myself.

you're not kidding- a kid that poops in the potty, a new washer and dryer and a Dyson and I'm a happy, happy girl.

thats great Jenn, we too only got a poop in the potty last week, he was refusing to use a potty/toilet and only pooping in his pants, the little monster was actually breaking my heart. well this week we've had 2 accidents and 4 poops in the potty. I gave in and ent down the visual bribary route. He's hhad a variety of prizes on top of the fridge (where they can be seen but not reached) and a star chart on fridge, 3 stars (each poo) he got a prize, although i know bribary is outdated, it worked....so far

We had a back slide yesterday- I guess he thought it was a one-time deal.

So, I'm heading off to the stores to stock up on stickers and prizes, too.
