Hang in there. I just went through months of militant potty training resistance. I pretty much just gave up. I know how discouraging (and messy) it is.

Sadly...potty training is just the first time that your kids let you know that you might be bigger than they are, but they...are in control. The trick is to get them to think that they ARE in control while getting them to do what you want them to do. When I have that figured out, I'll let you know.

In the meantime, it's OK....you have permission and will still be a good mom if you just let the topic of potty training go for awhile. In the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal. He will be potty trained before he goes to college...I promise.

Really....as soon as potty training becomes a battle it just says that the kids isn't ready yet...and the result is just frustration for both mom and child. I say put on the pull-ups and try again in a few months.

Ah, if it were only that easy...

He won't wear pull-ups during the day anymore. (yes, I could attempt to put them on him but he pulls them off and throws them away- if I can get them on him without getting kicked )

maybe dd #1 and your dude can be poop buddies? dd is 3.5...and in her own mind uses the potty. um, no she doesnt. she has a princess personality. 'give me, get me, do for me, i want, bring me' pretty much sums her up. we're working on it. for now she is content for me to wipe her buns.

dd#2 is a little over two. she told me the other day, 'i have to go potty!!'

i said, Nooooo!!!! 2 minutes later....'momeeeeeeee, i have poop!!' :thud: i think she will be done before dd #1.

          good luck jenn.
