Re: 'Coach' baby, it's a Coach.

I'm not dissing anyone who has a Coach bag, and definitely wouldn't turn down one if it was given to me as a gift. I was blown away that it was included on the gift list her mom gave me.

She's registered at Pottery Barn kids and BRU, and most of the other registry items are reasonable. I'm helping/co-hosting the shower, and wanted to go in on a pricey group present. By pricey, I mean a stroller/car seat combo, or a piece of the nursery furniture... something practical that you need. I think maybe the Coach bag was a present idea for maybe the MIL or her mom(?) None of her friends have money... we're all dawkters-wives.

I'm in the same boat as LilySayWhat where I've wanted a Kate Spade diaper bag as soon as we find out we're expecting later on in life. It's just something I've always wanted and I'm pretty practical in other areas in my life, so I figure this one splurge for me and enduring pregnancy. But I plan on buying it myself and at a Kate Spade outlet and I think it's around $200.

Some of my girlfriends who are having babies now have mentioned the "Bugaboo" stroller to me. It's a $900+ stroller and a couple of my friends actually have one. That's kind of when I draw the line and don't see myself spending or registering for something that extravagant.

Wow all this is just way out of my league. I could never see myself spending that kind of money on anything like a diaper bag or stroller. Maybe I'm just too practical and don't know how to live right?
