My daughter has been feverish on and off for a week and last night started having bloody diaherra. We were thinking ecoli or some kind of virus. To our surprise a test at the doctor confirmed it is rectal strep. Has anyone every heard of that? I have not.

So DH says, "yeah - it's dramatic, but it's no big deal." I guess that sounds insensitive, but I just thought his response was funny and so typical. (Remember, it doesn't really get him excited unless a limb is falling off or something). Basically, it's the same as any infectious diarrhea (it's Group B Strep - same as they test women for toward the end of pregnancy). Hope she feels better soon.-Deb
