To those of you who said you'd get an ID consult - thank you! I think I'm going to call his ped back today and ask for one. It is so hard for docs to treat each other and each other's families. When DH spoke to DS's doc, DH said that they were bantering back and forth about whether or not to push and test more. I don't think I'll feel better until we go a little further. And, I did ask if he was going to do a case report

I hope he is feeling better. I asked DH about it in general terms,( ie: what if - he is a Critical Care Intensivist) and he said, "I don't know, I don't do Peds, I would get a Pediatric ID Consult)!!!
