Contrary to everyone's advice here, we ended up going and just didn't let her hold/hug our kids. We just figured since our ped and her doctor both gave the okay, that it was safe to go.
So far (it's been, what ... 3 days now? ... and she came over for a bit yesterday, too), it's been fine.~Jane

I didn't see this beforehand, but I would've gone. I had a mild shingles rash when pregnant and didn't give it to the boys (unvax). I would hesitate if it was a kid with the pox, but adults in general are more hygienic so I worry less.Mom of 3, Veterinarian
