I'm sort of embarrassed (and posting from a sweet spot that took me 20 min to find) but when Andrew was born, I considered not vaccinating him ... I actually called the CDC from Germany and had a very patient MD reassure me. I know that I'm neurotic. I worried myself sick because it was the height of the autism thing.
Andrew has Aspergers. I would be lying if I said the link hasn't crossed my mind despite the fact that I KNOW better both from dh and my own education.
I think wanting to understand why ... is natural. I can understand going nuts over a theory if I didn't have the science background. Look at how nuts we can go over politics etc when it comes down to our feelings.
