Yep - I have an appt with urologist this month to see what my options are. Turns out that there is a new injectable treatment - the gyn NP thought that it lasts for a couple of year. I am so excited about it. No amount of kegels has improved this bit of joy for me. Hopefully insurance will cover the treatment and I will be able to not worry about having to pack a change of clothes for myself and not just the toddler.

Bittersweet - don't be so hard on yourself. Even as a SAHM it's not possible to keep on top of everything. Sometimes I hit the snooze button when I had planned an early morning run. Even more often I go to bed with laundry sitting in the dryer or the floor covered in food scraps from dinner because I gave myself a break. Priorities can change by the day. Getting up at 5am and having to get your baby up too would me crazy in my opinion, but I hope you can get in some walks to help you feel better.
And if there are no places to take potty breaks when I do my half marathon in November I don't know what I'll do!!! If I even make it that far with my current hip issues..... I feel like an old lady!

I am struggling big time with being a working out working mom. During the weekend, I'll take DS out in the stroller for a walk, but during the week its a lot harder. I feel like my choice is to either spend time with DS or at the gym. Since my time with him during the week is so limited, I choose DS every time. I'm struggling with mommy guilt pretty bad. By the time he goes down for bed, the bottles are washed and prepped for daycare, dinner is eaten, and the rest of the chores are done. I'm exhausted and have no motivation..

I think it's just as hard to find time as a SAHM. While I like to *think* I can walk with the kids or do a video while they sleep, it never happens. And I'm home all day long so I'm constantly munching/snacking/dreaming up things to bake/cook.Mom of 3, Veterinarian

Honestly I had no motivation to regularly exercise while I was in the middle of the pregnant-nursing-toddler-pregnant-nursing-toddler-etc stage of my life... for about 15 years. Now that dd3 is finally independent, and she enjoys the gym playroom (but I don't enjoy the germs), I am more motivated. Not wake up at 5 am motivated- I'll never get that. And not run a marathon motivated- I hate running but it's the quickest way to do cardio for me... I'm motivated bc I hit 35 and I know that everything is downhill from here. And I have seen in family members who don't take care of themselves all sorts of problems, and in my family members who take great care of themselves, they have survived cancers, etc. for years beyond anything the docs expected.
I'm doing this for health, but if I had $$ I'd try to get in a tennis league or something because I like to compete too... It just takes a lot of $ and time to do something like that, neither of which we have now.
So fit in whatever you can, but those of you with babies, know that you are burning a lot of calories and you are very active just by keeping up with little babies. It's really true. That exhaustion you feel at the end of the day... when you crawl into bed-- that's because you ARE exhausted. No need to add guilt about a tangible workout to your day...Peggy
Aloha from paradise! And the other side of training!

I'm struggling with this and I'm not working. Going to gym was part of our routine in Roch and it needs to be here but now I'm super paranoid about leaving R in childcare even though I'm in the building. I need to get over it because its going to be rainy here soon and going for walks won't be an option. We joined a nice gym when we moved here but I cancelled our membership yesterday because we're trying to cut costs and it was just to expensive.Wife to NSG out of training, mom to 2, 10 & 8, and a beagle with wings.
