Maybe it's regional, but as kids we always called adults by their first name! No Miss/Mrs/Mr.
I'm lazy. Dh is called "papa." And I do this even when we are alone. I swore I would never do this, but I'm a lost cause.married to an anesthesia attending

We call each other pet names unless we are talking to DD about mommy or daddy. As far as Mr/Mrs/Miss, we tried doing the whole "Miss FirstName", but it wasn't how we were raised, and didn't stick. By the time it really matters, we'll be settled and able to feel out the vibe of our new locale...
