I was just thinking this about myself lately I've also never ever, in the course of 2 pregnancies, had anyone (friend, family, stranger) touch my belly (besides DD and DH)!

I will say that parenting experience brings perspective....and parenting teenagers brings the stark realization that we are all doing the best we can, working from our own strengths and weaknesses, with the ever-growing realization that how it all turns out is mostly out of our control. Every child is different and every parent has their own approach....there are millions of ways to parent! The bitchy judgy comments come from the insecurities of the person making them and are NOT about the person hearing them.
