MIL for me a stocking when we got engaged. She gets good stuff. I like my stocking

Their fireplace is so full now with 6 kids, 1 DIL, and even a stocking for N. I don't know if she thought that through...she may need a 14 foot mantle eventually

We do this kind of stuff, too. Plus make-up for the girls and a few small toys for the boy. Their stockings are ridiculously large. Like 40" long.

My folks have stockings for all the kids, ILs, and grandchildren too.

We don't do stockings for adults. Our kiddos get lots of candy, tooth brushes, cards, yoyos, make up, lotions, pens, batteries for toys, and other simple stuff

          Sigh. So much stress.

We have sticking for the first year ever! Yay us! I'll probably put the gift cars and a candy bar each in there. Dh won't get anything in his... I won't either tho.

I have some little figures and stuff for ds9--- basically I'll put little stuff in the stocking if I'm that organized. Big if.

We do stockings for everyone, adults included. ..and Santa comes to old and young alike. I just spent close to $200 on blasted stocking stuffers for 9 people. That's why I fill stockings with stuff they need. I used to fill with toys etc that would not get played with or little things they didnt use. Now I at least feel better that these are all needs. Each little kid does get a little toy too though.

Uh, yeah. So I completely forgot that stockings were a thing, even though I did hang them. Gah. I think I'll just pick up some small candies. DH and I both have stockings, but they're always empty. We also hang one for our deceased DD that is just perfect. Twin blonde angels kneeling together. <3

                    That is perfect!

The running joke at my parents house is that someone always has something leftover from the previous year - usually some candy that was in the toe The recipient is usually like, "Yay!" and then no one put said item in the stocking...and we soon realize it was old.

I love doing stockings! I mostly fill them with fruit, candy, and toys from the $1 section at Target. They also have a stocking stuffer section that's $1-5 where I found some cute items. DH gets candy, Legos, and Magic cards. (He doesn't play much anymore unless his brother visits, but opening a new deck is one of his favorite Christmas traditions.) He does stocking stuffers for me, too.

I just picked out 6 winter seasonal beers for DH for his stocking. Pretty sure that'll be his favorite stocking gift ever.
