    Well, regarding the original post, I am in total agreement that many of the problems with today's youth stem from parents listening to a whole heck of a bunch of faddish psycho-babble. I am one of those people who also believes that psychologists have an interest in perpetuating their jobs and thus new "syndromes" and "disorders" are born. I don't read any parenting magazines anymore and I avoid listening to so-called self-appointed "experts" on parenting. I stick to real experts - people like my mom who've actually successfully raised a number of children.
