Share your holiday list, please

I'm coming up with nada. I scrapped the train table idea when I actually read your responses (very helpful, thanks!) and realized that it might not be the most practical of gift choices. There is a high chance that we could be moving to Travis AFB this summer (read: will most likely live in very, very small townhome).

So how old are your kids and what are you getting for them?

This reminds me that I (well, DH) really need to get in the attic and pull out the gifts to wrap and inventory. I'm pretty sure I've got everything but it wouldn't hurt to check.

The things I remember -- and this includes gifts from us, Santa, and MIL.

3yo:
shark tent -- play tent sort of thing from Target. Hopefully it fits in the house!

for the last day, i got one of those kits that include the 10 gallon fish tank and all the crap that goes with it. they LOVE fish tanks, so it is a group gift.

Duh...Chicken...I meant to say cows. We call it the cow CD.

OK, that's the CD that I'm going to get her from Santa. Thanks, Nellie. We LUV the chicken CD, more affectionately known as the "Cows" in this house. DD high kicks to the chorus.

We're big fans too. I love the lyrics to "Chocolate Chip Cookies" and "I Like to Fuss".

I just borrowed Philadelphia Chickens from our local library and copied it (hey, I pay my fair share of taxes, right?). What a fun CD!!

Oh, Philly Chickens is a must-have for kids (and parents, too!) We love it in our house, too. My 3.5DD calls herself "Fuss-Moan" and pretends to be a grumpy cat It's her favorite song.

Ralph's World is another great one.

We've been listening to the They Might Be Giants "No" cd. My brother burned us a copy (and one of the other ones) and we've been enjoying them. It's nice to listen to kids music and sounds good. "No means No, a thousand times no."

My husband also announced that once the dude gets to a certain age, the holiday will be spent doing "Good works for others" like building houses for habitat for humanity. I thought that was a great idea.

We're also huge fans of this one. My sweet little dear Jacob sits in the backseat singing "Yes means Yes - a thousand times YES!"

The album FutureRN is referring to is TMBG "Here comes the ABC's!" It's also a DVD. "C is for Conifer" is hillarious. Even funnier when your 4 year old looks out the car window and says "Mom - are those conifers?". I knew where the question came from, but dh had no idea. It was hillarious.
