I feel sick reading this. I didn't know...
I wish I had something eloquent to say. I do know that I don't want you to leave.
I also feel strongly about wanting to help in any way I can. I have a lot of time, and if you are open, I am willing to do anything in my power. This situation is just not right, at all.
I'm so sorry.

Oh I am soooo sorry. What is going on in the world!
My friends adopted a 12 month old from china a few years back- he was special needs bc he had cleft palate. It was all fixed up when they got him back here, and all is well now. Is that an option for special needs? Cleft palate is not too serious but enough in china that some parents don't keep the babies bc they don't have resources for fixing it.
And my other friend adopted from Liberia but from what she said they pretty much shut down soon after she adopted. It's been about 4 years for her.
Hugs lily... I'm so sad. You have so much love to give.Peggy
Aloha from paradise! And the other side of training!

Lily-
I'm so sorry. The situation sucks. Our neighbors in Boston (shared a house) were older parents trying to adopt for the three years we lived there. They did end up adopting from China after years of pointless struggles with the systems. Lots of tears. The pain they felt radiated from them. So awful since we knew they were (like you) great people with lots of love and resources they wanted to share. I don't understand why it has to be that way.
I wish you happiness in whatever comes. You deserve it.Angie
