At this point I've been talking about daddy- as in "guess who called me today?" kind of stuff.

Once he gets to Georgia and has a date (and tickets in hand) then I think we will go to Michael's and decorate the entire yard in something really obnoxious and embarrassing. Yellow ribbons on every tree, etc. BUT...I think we'll do that either before we leave for the airport (like that day) or the day prior - maybe after school.

I'm w/ you on the when, when, when stuff but I'm not entirely sure that Nikolai will believe it's going to happen until he sees him. He's had such a lifetime of losses of critical people that I think he thinks it's just normal for people who love you to kick you to the curb once a year.

and he's going to be plenty MAD at his daddy, too.

Jenn- Luke is Mr Stubborn too, and he does get very mad. But he gets over it, every time. I mean that as a sort of encouragement- even tho I know that what Nikolai has dealt with in no way compares to my little guy, nor does it to the length of your deployment.

So anyway, as long as Rick is prepared for Nikolai punishing him for a while, it will all work out...

By the way, will you all end up with any time off as a family? To do some fun stuff?

ETA: I just looked at the post date on your last post- good chance you all are reunited probably! Wow...
