    Re: Babies and sun

This is definitely cultural. When Aidan was just days old, Leni took him for a walk. She got back and we were talking. After about 10 min it occurred to me that I had not seen Aidan. She had left him outside of our house in the buggy for fresh air and sunlight!!!! I nearly had a heart attack.

Rest assured though that German babies don't get more sunburn or pneumonia. Still ... I brought him in!!!!

Btw. This is practiced more by the older people. Obviously, the body does produce vitD with UV exposure. I think this is how older generations protected their babies before supplements and uv lamps.

      Not defending it though.
