He'll be 9 wks when we fly. DH seems affirmed by the breastmilk antibodies response, thank goodness!

My next door neighbors flew home with their newly adopted newborn- he was five days old. No problems at all. The pediatrician basically said as long as no one licked him, they should be fine.

The flights went great! I flew both ways alone, and it was our first time - he was amazing, and received compliments from passengers on both flights. Proud momma moments.
Here's where we are right now:
-My son wears 6 month old clothing now. I could cry.
        -Early teething signs
        -New, weird car seat drama.

The car seat thing: he's never had a problem with it before. He actually likes the car seat, once the car is moving. Now? He hates it. Screams screams screams the second we get into the car - I've tried doing some desensitizing work with "playing" in the car seat, "playing" in the car, etc. Nothing is working. This could potentially suck, considering we are doing the cross-country move in the car (with my parents to help) in 3 weeks.
Is this related to the teething? Does my son hate me? Do you have suggestions?

M was a car seat hater. The kid would scream the whole time sometimes. Little brat. She's better about it now though. But she's 13.

E & K were usually okay as long as they had a toy of some sort. There was some octopus that had been passed from M to E and then they found it and gave it to K.

It was The Car Toy. I would give it to baby when I put them in and had been known to pull over to pick it up and give it back. Each arm had a texture or sound. Anytime I found similar toys I bought them and would keep them in our cars.

My daughter hated the car seat at that age (around 2 months of age). She'd scream her head off when she was placed into the car, and then be ok when it started moving. She'd scream at lights and then be ok again when the car started moving. The binky helped a little, if I remember correctly. Eventually she outgrew hating it -- I'd say around 4 months.

Here's one for those who babywear - Bean is 3 months, and still wants to fold his legs Lotus-style inside the Ergo. The problem is, he's SUPER long and it kind of pulls the whole carrier down low. When did you start encouraging your children to stick their legs out the side? I tried it once, and he cried like I was hurting him, so I didn't want to push it.

My kids were around 5 months before they (and I) were comfortable and happy in the Ergo. Until that point, they were in a Bjorn (unfortunately for me, hate that thing) or a Moby-like wrap.

K was in the Hotsling or Bjorn until about 6 or 7 months. Then the Ergo came along (he got to be kind of "thick" for the Bjorn and figured out how to make himself stand in the Hotsling).

Hmmm, I don't know--I carried dd in a sling and then when she got to be too heavy for me to carry her that way, I tried a Baby Hawk. It made me way too hot to have her that close to my body. I hated it!

From about 4 months on, I put her in the stroller 100% of the time.

I was wrong. He was still in a Hotsling or Bjorn at 8 months when we went to WDW. Must have been 9 months when we switched to the Ergo

We've used the Ergo from the beginning. When DS outgrew the infant insert, he still liked to have his legs froggied up. Our problem was that very soon he tired of that position and wanted to straighten his legs, which usually ended up in him using the waist band of my jeans as a ledge to stand on. Which resulted in low rise jeans becoming VERY low rise jeans. He was not happy putting his feet out with the Ergo on our fronts, but we only did that a couple months. Now he loves riding on DH's back with legs out. We were able to start that around 5 1/2 months, but he's a big baby (around 21 lbs and 27 inches at that age).

We took the extra head support out and he's better, sort of. We're now in the middle of a growth spurt/beginning of teething, so all bets are off.
It took me about 4 days to realize he's doing his 3 mo. spurt - doesn't want to be put down, won't nap again, whiny, clingy, crying... etc.
He has outgrown some of his 6 month clothing as of today (!) by length. Onto the 6-9 month clothing. This is UNREAL... UN-FREAKING-REAL.
He looks like a little man. My baby is gone. *sob whine whine sob!*

We're back to sleeping like a newborn. It's all kinds of ugly.
He flips over onto his stomach and then shrieks with anger, while he's still asleep. I don't want to spend the next few weeks flipping him back over, since he won't stay that way. But, how do I get him to stop being angry about being on his stomach? I just need him to sleep and not be upset about it.
                              Ugh ugh ugh.
I've heard there's a ton of neurological things happening at 4 months - is this the reason?

dd's sleep went to hell a week or two before she started to crawl... developmental milestones +teething = crappy sleep for us.
