Don't worry about the er visit. You aren't wasting anyone's time... High fevers- better safe than sorry IMHO. If course my dad as an er doc saw all sorts if stuff- including moms bringing in their grown sons bc of a bad hangnail. I kid you not.Peggy

Glad to hear all of the sick kiddos mentioned in this thread are all feeling better! DH always recommends that a little one with high fever, lots of vomiting, etc. precipitates a call to the doc or a trip to the ER. Definitely better safe than sorry.
moonlight, you called about the right thing, IMO. DH gets a lot of home pager calls about this type of stuff, and always feels good that he made the parent feel better/went over a course of treatment or things to watch for/confirmed that a follow-up appointment the next day or a trip to the ER is necessary.Event coordinator, wife and therapist to a peds attending
