It would be my shopping/travel/excursion stroller, so I need to not herniate myself loading/unloading Our original reservation with the Maclaren was the price point, but I think DH sees that you get what you pay for!

I love it and it is definitely not cheaply made. Plus, the warranty is excellent.

I loved the Uppababy G Lite umbrella for C (also off CL and def not cheap if you pay retail) but they don't make a double.

So we got the Maclaren Twin Turbo. I love it except that it's kind of hard to open. Otherwise, six thumbs up - the girls love it too It was on clearance and we had a 20% coupon, so it was $280 out the door!

Yay! Where did you use a coupon? I thought strollers were usually excluded from those.

Buy Buy Baby - Maclaren is not listed in the exclusions!

              Double Stroller

I scored a double city mini off a local Craigslist like site a few weeks ago for $100. So far we love it...very easy to fold up. N may only fit in it for another year or so, but that was pretty much a problem with any of them

I'm considering getting the Baby Jogger City Mini Double at some point within the next few months. Does anyone know if it's narrow enough to fit through most doorways? One of the main reasons we'd be getting it is for walks to the neighborhood grocery store, etc., and it would be pointless if it's too wide to fit inside.

Also, we don't have a garage, so I'll have to collapse it to put it inside our shed after each use. (I'm not leaving it outside in the PNW rain.) The videos I've seen make it look really easy to collapse. Can anyone confirm?

I got one used recently. We love it. It fits through a standard doorway and does collapse super easy, better than the Bob. It isn't a jogger though

                    Double Stroller

Someone awesome (cough cough) gave me their old Valco Twin, and I had it lubed/ordered new seats. Runs like a dream!

                      • What determines if a stroller is suitable for jogging? Does it have to do with the wheels? What if I'm a really, really slow jogger?

I'm not really an avid runner or anything, but it sucks that so few of the doubles are made to go running with (besides the Bob).

                        • If you are considering the City Mini I would take a serious look at the Britax (http://www.albeebaby.com/britax-b-ag...oller-red.html). I like it far better than the City-Mini in terms of weight and maneuverability. The Britax fold and unfolds very easy and is compact. You can also add snack trays if you so desire

                            • We had a city mini double and I sold it. It overlapped too much with my beloved double BOB.

Real jogging strollers will have bigger (air filled) tires and 3 wheels for easy steering.

                              • A family at church has the Britax. I feel like they are almost identical.

You could try running with it, but I think it would be very very difficult to steer and probably bounce the kids around a lot. I'm frustrated by that too. A double bob or the baby jogger double are just so freakin expensive and bulky. Honestly, trying to run with just one in the jogger once they are toddlers is difficult enough. T&S is a petite jogging monster people. I bow down.
