I've also tried at least a dozen different kinds and in the end I prefer the cheapy one that are $3.50 for 5 cups (I think they're called Take-n-Toss). I stick them in a dishwasher with no problems, so far they've lasted about 4 months. I like the simplicity of no valves. One day (sometime into the 14th month) I just packed away all the baby bottles and she had no choice but to take the sippy. She still hasn't really figured out the straw, she'll suck the liquid out but it'll be too much and she'll just open her mouth to release it. Then she'll proceed to chew on it. I think I'll wait until she stops teething to try again.

I was just about to pack up the bottles but K2's arrival was too near. Now BabyK is asking for bottles again.*sigh* I figure I'll get through this move and try to ease him off the bottle once we settle in. Too much change at once.

We also started out with Nuby after trying 4-5 different sippy cups. After 3-4 months the soft spout was chewed and leaked everywhere. By then she was old enough to use the cheaper more heavy duty $2 sippy cups.
