We encouraged ours to go with a little treat each time. Poopy treats are BIG.. like markers. and we have FINALLY a potty trained kid I think. The last several poopies have been on the potty.. but she is also a stool holder .. That is the worst. The doctor gave us some glycerin suppositories because she held for 6 days one time and we had to go the doctor. That was AWFUL!!

We were giving Thomas trains (the die cast ones). That's how desperate we've been. But we ran out this month and I couldn't justify buy more until October. LOL

Cylverdust - About the treats, I've always wondered how do you taper them off once they are potty trained? I can imagine it makes training easier, but I couldn't figure out what to do next so I resisted...

Once it became obvious that it had become an ingrained and established habit, I always just "ran out" of the treats we used!

Weird that I remember this, but for my sister and I, my parents just used stickers that we would hang on laminated sheets of colored construction paper that were three-hole punched taped on the wall. Once we were "trained", we got to go to the store, pick out a binder and like 5 more packs of stickers or something, and make our own little sticker book. My parents were broke and my sister and I were/are easily amused. We loved it!
I'm just trying to make it out alive!

I started giving treats every time.. then every other once she was really going.. then every couple of times.. etc.. until there were not treats for going peepee on the potty.
