I'm looking at Target's nursing tanks, I figure its a cheap way to start out to see if I even like using the tanks, and until I can get properly fitted.

Anyways, wondering what the difference is between the side-sling and the full sling tanks. From my google search it sounds like the full sling are more supportive but provide less exposure to the breast which can be good for coverage, but bad for learning to breastfeed?

I would look for tanks with nice, heavy-duty straps. I hate the style that's similar to the front of men's underwear...it would never lay flat and would eventually sneak close enough to A that it would be wet.

FYI about Target's tanks...I like them but found them to be really small in the bust. I'm a D right now and busting out of their XL, but the L fits me better in the torso.

This. My milk came in, and they were way too small.

Hmmm.... because I just tried them on yesterday to see what size I would be and I was shocked that I fit into small even with my preggo belly and boobs. I bought one because it was on clearance for $10. And I plan on wearing it in the hospital, but based on this I will hold off until my milk comes in before I buy any more.

They fit me well for awhile (loved them in the hospital) but I am also less blessed in the boob department. However, after my belly shrank they were way too baggy through the torso and weren't flattering in the least. Definitely worth $10, though.

They are too big on me everywhere except the boobs. The straps are too long especially (though I think you're much taller than me). I've actually been wearing my gap maternity tanks with the side ruching underneath all my regular shirts and it's been working great! They are stretchy enough that I roll up my regular shirt, unhook nursing bra and pull pregnancy tank to the side. I'm actually just going to buy more of them ASAP.

I also didn't find that the nursing camis provided enough support. I much prefer a nursing bra and a pregnancy tank.
