II figure N is way too young for these but she had an episode last night that was weird. She has been an awesome sleeper since about two months...she would sleep from 10 pm to 5 am, wake up to "sleep eat" and then sleep with us until 7 or 8. Lately she has been really clingy, will freak out if I leave her alone in a room or walk away, and has been waking up more easily at night. The past week or so she will not sleep soundly unless she is held/sleeping with us. Doesn't seem too unusual from what I've heard though.
Last night we put her to bed and about an hour later she started screaming. J went I get her but he couldn't calm her down at all, normally all it takes is shushing and rocking and she is asleep or just wide awake and happy. This time she wouldn't wake up or open her eyes. The only thing that calmed her was nursing. She never really woke up. That's odd for her. J tried laying her down again and she immediately started screaming again, but didn't wake up. We tried a couple of times and as soon as we wasn't held she freaked even though she still looked like she was sleeping. Eventually she just ended up with us all night. I tried putting her down after she had been soundly sleeping with us for an hour and still no dice. She was fine this morning.
I guess none of this really sounds like night terrors except the initial waking reaction. She just has never done this before...it seemed really odd. I initially thought she was in pain but we couldn't figure anything out. This is normal right?
