We do this for our daughter (2) in the yard. It was great until she pooped in the pool - but even so - with that - I really would like her to potty train sooner than later, and i'd rather have to scoop wet poop out of the play pool than have to go another year of pooping in the diaper.

As a side note - why have 2/3 of my boys potty trained before age 2 (which their supposed to be harder to train) and my 2.5yr old daughter absolutely, vehemently refuses to even try to pee on the potty. Sigh. I guess that's another post for another thread.

I try to always keep little girls in a bikini or tankini (so so much easier to potty or change diapers). Although for the past two days dd3 has been swimming in her birthday suit since we seem to have lost her bikini (I have no idea how that happened). I should note that we swim at my moms so toddlers can wear whatever they want
