What's your tentative plan for continuing to nurse/wean? My current thought is a year - pumping sucks and is REALLY difficult on business trips. Plus, we'd like to get pregnant again. That being said, I really don't want to traumatically wean her so I guess we'll see...
I'm going to let her lead weaning. Pumping is pretty easy for me work wise, though it will be nice to get down to 1x/day vs. 3x/day. And then I can easily see it being an evening only thing by 18-24 months, which is find by me. She likes to nurse, but things food is way way cooler. I just don't want to replace breastmilk with formula--otherwise whatever she wants is cool with me.

As far as pregnancy goes, we may start trying again next year, but I know it isn't going to impact my ability to get pregnant. I now know that my supply drops dramatically around ovulation--it is sort of annoying. I'm not really planning on tandem nursing, though--while I have no issues with breastfeeding beyond 18 months, she would be pretty old then and I really cant see her being interested.

Considering I can't ovulate (or couldn't) even when not nursing, I don't think it's going to happen unless I wean her. I'm fine to keep nursing her at night or from time to time but I may get to the point where I want to wean her to go back on fertility drugs. They're not going to treat me for infertility while nursing (nor should they).

AGHHHHHH!! She got a little better and now my little vampire is back. I've stopped nursing sessions with VERY loud, stern, yelling and she giggles and tries to do it again! The other night she bit and held on while I was screaming and trying to pull her off. J is on call tonight and I swear the girl is a devil child or something. She bit me, I put her on the floor and SCREAMED the loudest meanest I could "DONT BITE MOMMY" and I still didn't get a negative reaction until I walked away and left her in the dark room. I'm not sure what to do next!!!

On another note, the kid has not napped since this morning. It's almost 10 pm and I cant do anything to get her to sleep. WTF?? It was this way last night too. Where is she getting the energy? She had a 20 minute "I'm tired" breakdown, then the biting began, I gave up, and she is wide awake watching the olympics and playing in the exersaucer in the next room. What is she, 15???

              Ugh, developmental milestone ahead!
USUALLY, that's what a sleep regression has behind it.
Either that, or DS has taught her his "no-sleep solution" tricks. The not-napping is the worst.

What else could there be? She JUST started crawling a week or so ago. She is pulling up on stuff. No way she starts walking that early.

I gave her Tylenol, so I don't think it is teething, though she still only has two teeth. The top two have been threatening to come in for months.

She is FINALLY asleep but boy I was close to losing it. And my workout time is shot, house is a mess, no lunch made for tomorrow, I have a buttload of work to do, and I'm exhausted.

But I went to IMSN first

Just big hugs! I've been there, and it's miserable. (With the sleep, not the biting. That's even worse!)
