I am convinced that someday I will be the worst MIL in the world - judging by my crazy adoration for my sons and my SILs' general feelings of anxiety about me for about the first 5 years of their marriages. I will be some poor girl's MILK.

So funny... now that I've had my 2nd daughter (and most likely LAST child) I can't deny that I feel palpable relief knowing that I'll never need to deal with a daughter in law of my own.

Oh, I'm sure you'll annoy your son-in-laws then (or daughters in law, whatever!). I have so many friends who are BFFs with their mom and their husbands want to kill them because their moms meddle in every little thing. I have a friend who's mom came looking for her on her WEDDING night to chat/dish about how it all went. Her new husband was FUMING because he wanted his bride alone.

DD, you're probably right. My DH is constantly annoyed by the frequent contact I have with my mother, and I don't even think it's that bad, maybe once every 2-3 days. He finds it completely excessive though. So, yeah, I probably can't win.

LOL My mom had the sense to leave us alone on our wedding night, but she came to our room the next morning to pick up my gown and made herself very comfortable. Sat right down and helped herself to the champaign and chocolate-covered strawberries in our suite while wondering out loud why she didn't have any in her room.

LOL and I thought it was bad that MIL and FIL called us a few days in to our honeymoon!

Ha, sorry, I'm so sleep deprived. I meant "T&S" not DD.
