I am convinced that someday I will be the worst MIL in the world - judging by my crazy adoration for my sons and my SILs' general feelings of anxiety about me for about the first 5 years of their marriages. I will be some poor girl's MILK.

So funny... now that I've had my 2nd daughter (and most likely LAST child) I can't deny that I feel palpable relief knowing that I'll never need to deal with a daughter in law of my own.Attorney, wife to EM attending, mom to two girls (ages 5 and 2)

DD, you're probably right. My DH is constantly annoyed by the frequent contact I have with my mother, and I don't even think it's that bad, maybe once every 2-3 days. He finds it completely excessive though. So, yeah, I probably can't win.Attorney, wife to EM attending, mom to two girls (ages 5 and 2)

I have so many friends who are BFFs with their mom and their husbands want to kill them because their moms meddle in every little thing. I have a friend who's mom came looking for her on her WEDDING night to chat/dish about how it all went. Her new husband was FUMING because he wanted his bride alone.
