  • Birthday Party when you know no one?

I'm not sure if this should be in this area or in school age as O is sort of in between being in preschool. Anyhow O wants a birthday party. His birthday is in about two weeks. He has never had one and really wants one. The problem is we are new here and basically know no one. I know of one friend at his school so far. I don't have the list of kids in his class (he's in a 4's preschool class) however I know I wouldn't want to invite 24+ kids to a party either. Any ideas brain trust?

Has he said that he wants a "friend" party? Would he be cool with a family one that has decorations and games?

At that age, if there was cake, balloons, and presents, my kids thought it was a party. Maybe that will do it?

Good idea. He hasn't said that he wants a kid party per say but the only birthday parties we have been to or read about in books have been kid parties. I'll see what dh thinks. I do think he'd like the place decorated up.

Also, at his age, just inviting the one friend from school and his family over for pizza and ice cream with decorations could be a party.

We could do an iMSN party at my house, and maybe the Dallas people could come!

I'm serious, if you want to!
