Any chance he could be teething? DD2 got like that when she was teething. Worst diarrhea and diaper rashes ever.

small hijack, but helpful to new moms: the very bestest rash cream I've ever found is a combination of equal parts Desitin (the original, not creamy), Aquaphor, and Myloxx. It's *really* hard to incorporate the Myloxx, so just keep stirring. My ped gave me the "recipe" when Jacob had a really, really bad one, and it was nearly healed by the 2nd diaper change.

Earth Mama Angel Baby Bottom Balm (?) is amazing. It's all Big Fat Greek Wedding at my house with that balm.
"Put some Windex on it." We use it for cuts, scrapes, eczema, etc.
