As an experiment, I took the baby to my parents' for the weekend so I can focus my attention on DD. We had such a blast today. It was like old times. She still had some minor toddler freak outs but otherwise did really great. Would it be a good idea to do this about once a month (when DH has a weekend in-house call)? The other option would be to drop her off with the grandparents. But this way she'll get some one-on-one attention for a bit.

That's great! You could always alternate if she'd like that. One weekend with you and the next time with grandma and grandpa.

It probably is just what she needs, even if it is just for an afternoon once or twice a month.
