Not pregnant. Hubby was surprisingly disappointed. I think I'll save the other test for the next time I absurdly decide I might be pregnant. For an infertile, I sure do think I'm pregnant a lot. I'm pretty certain it's just a sinus infection at this point, so I started some antibiotics. I did pick up some formula though. Hopefully my supply will pick back up, but if not, I'm trying to not be relaxed about having to supplement.Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer

Even when you're not wanting to get pregnant, there's something about waiting on those pee sticks... Hugs, it is kind of a let down to see just one line. I hope your supply picks back up when you feel better, but it's just fine to supplement or even go to all formula if pumping becomes too frustrating.Laurie

I've done all the things on that list to super charge the supply and I've definitely had people overfed the baby (not an issue for you because E is being fed to gain lots of weight). I was able to do it by supercharging over weekends (nursing extra and then pumping on top) and pumping for an extra long time - these past two weeks, I've gotten an extra 8 oz each week (total so like 1.25 oz each day) to freeze but it is insanely hard work. Who wants to keep the damn pump on for 45 minutes a time? Ugh, I hate it!!!!
You've done a great job and I think either way, she will be completely fine. How is her weight btw?Married to a Urology Attending! (that is an understated exclamation point)

Supply seemed good at my first morning pump (I pump while I'm getting ready for work, after E feeds, because I usually have a pretty good supply in the mornings). We'll see how it goes the rest of today. I managed to get an extra 4oz over the weekend, so that will help some, although I can usually get twice that on the weekends. I do have a little bit left in the freezer still too.
She was up to 12lbs at her 6m visit 2 weeks ago. By my scale at home, which is only accurate to the half pound, weighing me then weighing me holding her put her at 13lbs, so I'd guess actually closer to 12.5lbs now. We go back in 4 weeks for an official weight check.Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer

Still low supply at my first work pump, so I suspect I'll be sending formula at some point this week. Should I mix the breastmilk and formula, or send the formula in a separate bottle? I normally send 2 5oz bottles plus 2 solid meals.Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer

I would send the formula separately and tell them to give it at her least preferred feed - it may take a while to get used to it and you don't want her to freak out if she's starving. Definitely keep up the pumping though (if you want), it's very useful as a comforter to them, especially while traveling! I find it so.much.easier on planes when they still nurse.Married to a Urology Attending! (that is an understated exclamation point)
