I think I've gotten myself into a little dilemma. I know second babies are supposed to just roll with the punches, but Claire (who is now 12 weeks old
, 7.5 weeks adjusted age) loves her naps. The problem started when M and dh were in Germany, and she was acting pissed off and cranky all day. I decided to let her briefly CIO in her crib so she'd learn to wind down/self soothe a little bit (up until then, she was sleeping either on the sofa next to me, or on the floor, on in a sling). She, like M, was giving me all the signs that she just wanted to sleep in her own bed. So by now, she's a pro at going to bed awake, falling asleep on her own, and staying asleep for a good 2.5 hours during the day. I swear I wasn't torturing my newborn with CIO.
So, it boils down to about 3 naps/day. Morning, early afternoon, and one from about 3-5pm.
The problem is, M has got a schedule too, and while C is mellow enough to take those naps in her car seat or on the go, she sleeps terribly at night when she doesn't get her motionless/crib sleep during the day.
What have I done?! Do I just get someone to watch C while I do drop offs and pick ups for M? It's kind of a ridiculous question, I know, but I got myself into this mess and need to get out of it.
