We initially thought it was the prevacid not working and making things worse, because her coughing/back arching/crying when placed on her back for diaper changes got so much worse. This is 5 years ago, and I remember vividly how I thought we'd have to have her scoped to see what was going on in there... In the end, we still left the zantac away and waited for the prevacid to kick in. I think it was 2-3 doses (so 2-3 days).

With C, when we switched from zantac to prevacid I didn't notice any withdrawal. She had only been taking the zantac for a few days when I took her off of it, so i think that made the difference for her.

It's so hard, I know. . We ended up taking M to OT to get her to eat again. It was awful. I'm sure you won't get to that point, but I just feel like we didn't push enough for M to get help.

Solids did nothing for M's reflux either, btw.

There have been no other symptoms skin wise. Although his BMs have been two different shades of brown/green.

And since I seem to be a complete failure that just can't keep it together I have made an appointment with a Doula to help me get my act together and am looking into seeing someone about PPD.

Hardly a failure!

1) Parenting is hard. So hard. Period.
2) I commend you for seeing someone about suspected PPD.
If you want to be seen with the quickness, pick a provider in your network (ob/Gyn is good for this), and tell them you suspect PPD. Anyone worth their salt will get you in ASAP, regardless of being a new patient.

In addition, just getting outside into the sunshine can help alleviate your mood, as does any form of exercise (this is not a push to make you feel worse).
What I'm saying is, even going on a short walk in the sunshine can help tons on bad days, when they cry cry cry. (I went on 2 today, if that tells you anything). "When in doubt, go out."

3) Post partum doulas are big where you are. I bet you can find one easily - the crunchier birthing centers and even ob/GYN offices will probably have contacts for you.

Give yourself a break! You moved cross country, have no family nearby, and your husband is working insane hours. That is HARD.

That's the thing. His hours are pretty good this year. His help is just less than helpful and I usually end up with a crankier baby than I left . And honestly E is really good. I shouldn't be having this much trouble and I can see that. Which is why I think something else is going on with me too. Ugh this thread turned into more than it was supposed to be. Sorry.
