Now that I've day-weaned E and she's drinking cow's milk, I'd like to transition her off the bottle. Her pediatrician wants her off by 15 months. She currently gets 2 a day before her naps (not ideal, but this is the schedule that the daycare follows, and I don't want to deviate). She's capable of drinking out of straw cups and sippy cups, although for now we've really only done water, and she spits it out if she gets too much or gets tired of drinking. She's only spit out milk from the cups so far. I have some specific criteria that I'm looking for:
1) Needs to be spill proof - I currently fill her bottles at night and put them in the fridge, throw them in her school tote in the morning, and throw that in the car to take her to school, so they get tossed around a bit. She also has a habit of throwing them.
2) I'd like it to hold about 8 ounces.
3) It needs to be easily cleaned in the dishwasher. I don't mind taking pieces off and putting them in our Munchkin basket.
4) It can't be too expensive, because I'd like to buy 4-6 of them so I can continue to fill them at night and not wash them every day.
Any recommendations?
