So the little twin has had stomach issues. He was SUPER colicky and we finally switched him to hypoallergenic formula. His crying has been considerably better.
He has been on the new formula (I totally stopped giving him breast milk - but I'm freezing a ton in case he can tolerate it at some point soon) for about two weeks. On or around last Wednesday he started pooping about 8 times a day. I assume it's the formula, but I'm hesitant to switch since the crying has been so much better. Anyway, one of the NICU Nurse's that babysits for us said it wasn't normal at this point (13 weeks) to be pooping so much and she worried he is losing weight (it's hard to say - he is the little twin and his brother weighs 4 or 5lbs more than him), so she suggested I take him in for a weight check.
Ok - no problem. I have a babysitter today and can totally do that. The only issue is that I have to take him in during sick kid hours..... And that terrifies me.
Would you take him in, or would you just let it go? I have these people coming from this county run developmental program (it's free because they were in the NICU) on December 1st - should I just wait until then to see if he is really losing weight? I just don't want him (and his brother) to get sick from going to the doctor if he doesn't really need to go.
