Does your dh know the names of your kids' teachers?

Mine doesn't. Not one of them!! I'm talking all the elementary kids, preschool teachers, high school teachers.

I think it's messed up. Just not right.

Mine knows one of the kinder teachers...because another kid already had her. That's all he knows. He's got only the vaguest idea of their schedules (I'm talking start and end time!!), nor can he be counted on to sort through the papers that come home everyday. Shameful. I can't die until the last one is off to college.

Valid question. Mine might, because J loves his and I hate Q's. He's never met either, though, and I doubt he will.

Actually, my first thought was that I'm fine with him not knowing, because my dad ended up with the one teacher he DID meet, and left my mother for her.

I think DH only knows one of the kids' teachers. DS' speech/language teacher has been the same person for 4 years. She's at all the IEP meetings and entirely rocks.

I'm sure DH would recognize some teachers' names, but hasn't met any of the current crop. He's been CC'd on a few emails between myself and DD1's fucking moron of a bio teacher, but wouldn't know the man if he were standing in front of him. Unless the asshole opened his mouth, anyway.

He handles drop off so yes. And he knows the names of many of the kids and their parents since day care is at work. And he knows a lot of other people that work there just because he is interested in that stuff.

I lived in my building for 5 yrs before I met DrK. Within a couple months, he knew all the neighbors, the security guards, and what they were studying at the community college, etc. I never know that stuff.

LOL. He struck out. He did know the name of the class room assistant that stayed with the kids for a weekend. I'm giving him partial credit for that.

That's me. Our little cul-de-sac has 7 houses. I know each of the families and talk to them regularly. Our next-door neighbor has lived here 17 years and in the 3 1/2 years we'e been here, I know them better than she does.

DH knew our oldest daughter's teacher got married, but not the maiden or married name. He knows DD2's teacher because it is a repeat. He knew of the two preschool teachers. I will say though that he knows more names of the kids in the preschool class than I do. He also goes to lunch with DD2 more than I do.
