    LOL. I'm not such a quick learner as you are! Kindergarten was basically a (mediocre) social experience and academic placeholder for DS. It's good that it's an abbreviated schedule. DD is also an advanced reader and she enjoys doing "math homework" (we picked up some Singapore workbooks for her when we were working with DS last year.) She's looking forward to kindergarten so she can do learning and math...I don't expect her to encounter one single thing that's new and I'm not sure how to bust her bubble...

    I just looked it up, DS missed 23.5 days of school last year. "I wouldn't say I was missing it, Bob." He did get a little frustrated about missing some classroom events like Valentine's day and the Hundredth Day party, but his teacher and I both pointed out that it was a trade-off to be able to go to Hawaii and do other fun stuff, so he didn't dwell on it much.
