    Strange. In WA, MD, CA, and hawaii (had K in all those states) it's been free full day. And that spans about 13 years of Kindergartners for me...

      In NY, SC, and here in FL, they are all full day only and free. In all three there is also pre-k and I think it is income based or lottery, but also free.

        We have full day 4 day for kindergarten. No charge. Kids have Friday off.

          I'm pretty sure ours is full day, 5 days a week, and free. Goodness knows it should be - we're almost paying private school tuition money in property taxes.
