    Re: Teens and beyond

Luanne- You are being very gracious at a stressful time...so let me be the one to wish a hex on the 6' tall girlfriend. If she's not worried about meeting you, there is something wrong with her. I hope your daughter's day is perfect.

I think she is a little worried, but I don't really want her to be. I'm the one on the cruise ship who, after they announce the ship is going down, I want to ask everyone if they have a comfortable deck chair!! Can you say co-dependent????

Luanne, you never fully lost your Southern upbringing did you? As they say, "Keep your hair high and your expectations low".

            Re: Teens and beyond

I had a great friend in Atlanta who had the best expression when things were going great:

            "We're shittin in high cotton"!!!!!!!!!!

Or if someone has it great but doesn't know it :

"They are shittin in high cotton and don't even know it"!!!!!!!

The first time I said that my New York Jewish husband almost fell over with laughter.
