Let me just say that there have been many conversations in our house that begin with, "first, thank goodness there was only one." (the Russians made us put down that we'd take one more than what we really wanted- in case there were siblings or twins)

He's mouthy and opinionated and has been since he learned his first English word. ("UP" with hands outstretched, and he's been trying to order us around ever since!)

All of our friends with tweens are struggling with the issues of how hard to hang on, what is really important and what to let go- all of that stuff.

I can't imagine but I guess I'll get there soon enough!
