    Re: Nursery Decorating

yay! found an ebay vendor w/3 yards and i snatched it all up. Now I can have MIL make covers for the cushions AND to a mix/match valence for the window w/the french wallpaper and pink corriander.

i've got to keep her away from that nasty wal-mart fabric for as long as I can!!!!!!!!!

woo hoo! I found a replacement parts vendor (http://www.productsamerica.com) and was able to order the part for $12.95!!! Beats the pants off of buying a new crib. The woman confirmed that these are the same parts that Regazzi used, and asked specifics about the crib to confirm that these are the right parts, so I feel good about it.

      Awesome!

I can't even stay one step ahead of her when I try to drown her in fabric. She told me today that she bought 6 yards of some fabric she found that she liked (at Wal-Mart, I'm sure). 6 flippin' yards!

On a brighter note, my sitter primed the nursery for me today, after I got home. She swears she LOVES to paint (I initially declined her offer saying I appreciate it, but I don't want to pay anyone to do it). She says she's started painting rooms at her uncle's house b/c she's gone through all the rooms at her house. I picked up the paint today - I went one shade lighter than the Costa Rica blue, but I can't remember the name at the moment. I'll update later (I know you all can't stand it ..)

Yes it is, Ms. Paint Addict. I'll see you later at the PAA meeting.

                    Re: Nursery Decorating

Took a break from painting for a visit from dh's cousin. I plan to get back to that - probably Tuesday.

In the interim, the replacement part for the crib arrived Friday. DH installed it today -- and it's PERFECT! Yay! Perfect crib for $20!

Hopefully, MIL will be shipping the box w/the crib set this week. She just keeps sewing ... and looking for projects ... and fabric . I've just decided that things she makes that I don't like don't need to go in the room. I was quite specific in my requests, and if she can't figure out that our tastes are quite different, then too bad.

And your MIL's other, uh, issues aside, how sweet for your daughter that her grandmother made her this, and that her mother picked it out with such care. Awww.
